Gers Distribution is committed and contributes to the maintenance of a strong local socio-economic fabric by producing 100% Gers products with quality products: Duck, Poultry, Eggs and local meat.

This approach values the work of local producers, highlights the quality of their products, and enhances the production being based on the know-how of our ancestors!

It is with fervor that we carry out the promotion of the Gersoise sector in France and abroad. (through our brands or those we distribute).
It is important for us to increase the visibility of the actors of the Gers and to value their work.

TRANSPARENCY
Gers Distribution wishes to be totally transparent about the origin and traceability of its products. Whether they come from the Gers, South West France or the European Union, the origin of our products is always present on our labels.

We thus offer quality products, with controlled and always identifiable origins.

TRACEABILITY
We guarantee the traceability of our products with the adapted EDI  system and a follow-up of the pallets with SSCC and dematerialization of the invoice. A system that simplifies the management of our orders.

ECO-RESPONSIBILITY

Faced with new environmental challenges, Gers Distribution has decided to embark on an ecological transition. In order to reduce our environmental impact, several actions have been put in place:

- Photovoltaic panels on the 4000m² storage building

- Recovery of hot wash water for energy creation

- Low-energy building (BBC standard)

- Biodegradable cover film in test

- Invoice dematerialization

OUR CERTIFIED LABELS

LABEL

ROUGE

The Label Rouge is a national sign that designates products which, by their production or manufacturing conditions, have a higher level of quality than other similar products usually marketed.

Quality, in this case, refers to the set of properties and characteristics of a product, and gives it its ability to satisfy implicit or explicit needs.

In addition to the sensory characteristics of the Label Rouge product and their perception by the consumer, the superior quality is based on :
- production conditions, which differ from the production conditions of similar products usually marketed,
-  the image of the product with regard to its production conditions,
-  elements of presentation or service.

OUR LABELS

IGP GERS

IGP SUD-OUEST

L'INDICATION GÉOGRAPHIQUE PROTÉGÉE (IGP)  identifies an agricultural product, raw or processed, whose quality, reputation or other characteristics are linked to its geographical origin.

The IGP applies to the agricultural, food and wine sectors.

The IGP is linked to existing technical knowledge. It gives the production a protection and a reputation on a national but also international scale.

The IGP can be based on the reputation of the product, which is understood in the sense of a strong public recognition at a given time, and which must be associated with specific knowledge or a quality attributable to the geographical origin.

The rules for developing a IGP are set out in specifications and are subject to control procedures implemented by an independent body approved by the INAO.

FINE FRANCE.

IGP GERS or SUD-OUEST certified in our products is the commitment of a product born, raised and processed in the GERS region.

The feeding of fatty palmipeds also occurs in our region.

The specifications of the IGP GERS are strict, guaranteeing the consumer a product of certified quality origin, raised, produced and slaughtered in the GERS region.

ORGANIC
LABEL

Organic agriculture uses cultivation and breeding practices that respect natural balances. Indeed, it excludes the use of synthetic chemicals, GMOs and limits intrans.

The benefits of organic agriculture are multiple in terms of creating activities and jobs, while preserving soil quality, biodiversity, air and water quality. This mode of production makes it possible to experiment with innovative practices that can be more widely developed in agriculture. These modes of processing give priority to enhancing the natural characteristics of the products.

There are many products that can be certified as organic: live or unprocessed agricultural products, processed agricultural products for human consumption, animal feed as well as vegetative propagating material and seeds used for crops.

You can find our "Organic" products in the range

FINE FRANCE.

OUR QUALITY SIGNS

GOURMETS DE FRANCE
LABEL

Created at the request of the brands, the Gourmets de France label is an exclusive label, only awarded to products tested by the Gourmets de France jury. Its objective is clear: that the tested products make this known and that they stand out among consumers with this strong sign of quality.

Only the label Gourmets de France certifies the validation of a complete jury of chefs. An obvious added value for our brand, it is all the more exclusive as it is reserved for products that have passed the Gourmets de France tests.

The Gourmets de France label is a quality guarantee validated by expert professionals in the field of gastronomy. It is a safe, reliable and immediately understandable guarantee for consumers.

We currently have several products from the DUCK OF THE GERS range that have been presented and have obtained the Gourmets de France label.

MEDALS
Concours général de Paris

The Concours Général Agricole - co-owned by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food and Ceneca (Centre National des Expositions et Concours Agricoles) - traces the path of promoting French standards, which can be broken down into missions:
- To support the economic development of production chains in France and abroad,
- To encourage French breeders, producers and companies in their commitment to quality and authenticity,
- Inform, guide consumers and professional buyers in their choices by giving them benchmarks through distinctions (medals and awards),
- Contribute to the training of future employees

For several years now, our Gers Duck products (Whole Duck Foie Gras semi-cooked in jar or Whole Duck Foie Gras Lobe) have been awarded medals at each presentation in 2015, 2016 and 2020.

Proof that our efforts to offer quality products have paid off.
