OUR CERTIFIED LABELS

LABEL

ROUGE

label rouge.jpg

The Label Rouge is a national sign that designates products which, by their production or manufacturing conditions, have a higher level of quality than other similar products usually marketed.

Quality, in this case, refers to the set of properties and characteristics of a product, and gives it its ability to satisfy implicit or explicit needs.

In addition to the sensory characteristics of the Label Rouge product and their perception by the consumer, the superior quality is based on :
- production conditions, which differ from the production conditions of similar products usually marketed,
-  the image of the product with regard to its production conditions,
-  elements of presentation or service.

IGP GERS

IGP SUD-OUEST

Logo IGP Sud-Ouest 2016.png

L'INDICATION GÉOGRAPHIQUE PROTÉGÉE (IGP)  identifies an agricultural product, raw or processed, whose quality, reputation or other characteristics are linked to its geographical origin.

The IGP applies to the agricultural, food and wine sectors.

The IGP is linked to existing technical knowledge. It gives the production a protection and a reputation on a national but also international scale.

The IGP can be based on the reputation of the product, which is understood in the sense of a strong public recognition at a given time, and which must be associated with specific knowledge or a quality attributable to the geographical origin.

The rules for developing a IGP are set out in specifications and are subject to control procedures implemented by an independent body approved by the INAO.

ORGANIC
LABEL

1200px-AB.png

Organic agriculture uses cultivation and breeding practices that respect natural balances. Indeed, it excludes the use of synthetic chemicals, GMOs and limits intrans.

The benefits of organic agriculture are multiple in terms of creating activities and jobs, while preserving soil quality, biodiversity, air and water quality. This mode of production makes it possible to experiment with innovative practices that can be more widely developed in agriculture. These modes of processing give priority to enhancing the natural characteristics of the products.

There are many products that can be certified as organic: live or unprocessed agricultural products, processed agricultural products for human consumption, animal feed as well as vegetative propagating material and seeds used for crops.

You can find our "Organic" products in the range

PARTNERSHIP

FLEURONS DE SAMATAN AND VIVADOUR

vivadour.jpg

In December 2012, Gers Distribution logically joined forces with the cooperative to create a 100% Gers foie gras production chain, in order to control every stage and ensure a quality product with a strong identity value.

THE COOPERATIVE

Since 1992, Vivadour has placed the defense of farmers' interests, the structuring of competitive agriculture and regional development at the heart of its project.

LES FLEURONS DE SAMATAN
With its subsidiary "Les Fleurons de Samatan", Vivadour has its own slaughtering, cutting and processing facilities, enabling the Group to guarantee the processing of Gers PGI duck.

Abattoir of Auch

In July 2023, Gers Distribution launched a new ankle activity based at the Auch abattoir, in partnership with breeders in the Gers department.

BREEDERS IN THE GERS AND NEW AQUITAINE REGIONS

Offers cattle: cows, steers and calves from exceptional farms.

Rosé calves are traditionally raised with their mother's milk, suckled directly from the mother's udder. This production method gives veal its pinkish color. In this way, the meat is smooth and low in fat.

The cows marketed are mainly Blondes d'Aquitaine, a French breed of cattle from which we obtain tender, delicious, high-quality meat.
